Privacy Policy

Established: August 21, 2026 / Last updated: September 3, 2026

This English translation is provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy between this translation and the Japanese original, the Japanese version shall prevail.

The itsuka team (the "Operator") handles user information in the iOS application "itsuka" (the "App") and its related website (the "Site") as set out in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information handled by the App

2. Notifications

The App's reminder is a local notification that is generated entirely on your device. Using it requires the OS notification permission, which you can change at any time in iOS Settings. No push-notification server is used.

3. In-app purchases

Payment for the one-time in-app purchase "itsuka Plus" is processed through the App Store operated by Apple Inc. The Operator never obtains payment information such as your name or credit card details. For how Apple handles information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. App lock (Face ID / Touch ID)

The app lock feature uses standard iOS authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / your device passcode). All biometric matching is handled by iOS itself; the App never obtains or stores biometric data such as your face or fingerprints.

5. Share-card images and "Save to Photos"

Share-card images are generated entirely on your device. Only when you use "Save to Photos" does the App use the add-only photo library permission (it cannot read your existing photos).

6. Information the App does not collect

The App does not collect location data, contacts, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not use full photo-library access (it receives only the single photo you select). It contains no third-party data sharing and no advertising SDKs. Voice recognition for Siri shortcuts (such as "Add a wish in itsuka") is handled by iOS itself; the App does not receive your voice or its contents. Note that the contact form opened from the App's Settings screen (Section 8) is an external service that opens in your web browser; the App does not obtain what you enter there.

7. Website analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics, a traffic analysis tool provided by Google LLC, to improve the Service. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect traffic data in a form that does not identify individuals. You can opt out by disabling cookies in your browser or with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Information collected through the contact form

The contact form asks you to provide the following.

The information you provide is used only to respond to your inquiry, investigate issues, and improve the Service. The Operator does not send marketing email.

The contact form is provided using Google Forms, a service of Google LLC, and your submission is stored on Google's servers (this constitutes entrusting the handling of personal information to Google to the extent necessary to operate the form). For how Google handles information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Inquiries are retained as a record of our correspondence. If you ask us to, we will delete the record of your inquiry.

9. Disclosure to third parties

The Operator does not provide user information to third parties except where required by law. For data created in the App, the Operator has no mechanism for obtaining it in the first place. Information submitted through the contact form is likewise not provided to third parties, apart from the entrustment necessary to operate the form as described in Section 8.

10. Children

The App is not directed at any particular age group, and the App itself collects no personal information, so it can be used at any age. However, because the contact form asks for a name (a nickname is fine) and similar details, children should use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian. For in-app purchases, we encourage parental oversight (such as Screen Time's Ask to Buy).

11. Changes to this Policy

The Operator may revise this Policy as needed. Material changes will be announced on the Site or in the App. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on the Site.

12. Contact
